The HAY Rope Trick floor light, designed by Stefan Diez is an innovative piece of modern lighting design. The acrylic shade of the Rope Trick can slide along the neck of the light in a flexible way, allowing diffused light to be directed to different places in a room, producing a range of effects from a low-level ambient light to full brightness. The dimmer remembers its settings, and overall the HAY Rope Trick floor lamp shows its innovative construction as it integrates LED technology within a dynamic new tailored form. The HAY Rope Trick has been selected for inclusion in MoMA’s permanent collection of design objects.
